things to do

A leisurely stroll of less than 1 mile takes you to the old white-washed village of Aberdaron, with its sheltered, award-winning, mainly sandy beach. Amenities at the village include a grocery store, newsagents, bakery, post office, fish and chips shop, 2 cafes and 2 popular pubs/restaurants offering lunchtime and evening meals. Take a short walk from the caravan up Mynydd Anelog from where the Holly Isle of Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) can be seen in its entirety (ideal location for a picnic). Not far is Porth Meudwy (hermit's cove), a little fisherman's cove from where a four mile trip by boat will take you to Ynys Enlli.

Situated within easy reach are the market town of Pwllheli, and the hustle and bustle of Abersoch Village with its many fashion stores and cafes. They also boast superb golf courses as does Nefyn that's also nearby. Why not set yourself the goal of conquering yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) – Wales's highest peak, during your stay? Many other activities available i.e. fishing, pony trekking, watersport, Go karting, clay pigeon shooting. The area is a predominantly Welsh speaking one and residents here are proud of their heritage and culture. Maybe you could set yourself the challenge of learning a few Welsh words and phrases during your stay and use them during your day to day activities.
